Building to Miami-Dade’s Wind Standards
Miami-Dade and Broward are Florida’s High-Velocity Hurricane Zone (HVHZ), with the state’s strictest wind and impact requirements. Windows, doors, roofing and many other products must carry the right approvals. We build with concrete systems, ICF and 3D-printed concrete, that are well suited to these standards, and we plan product approvals into the design from the start.
Flooding and Elevation
Low-lying parts of Miami face tidal flooding and rising groundwater. Depending on location, new homes may need higher finished-floor elevations. We check flood zone and site grading early, so the design works the first time.
