ADU Mission statement
An ADU is a second, self-contained home on the same lot as a primary house, with its own kitchen, bathroom and entrance. Florida homeowners build them to house aging parents or adult children, to earn rental income, or for a home office or guest suite. Because land is the most expensive part of housing, an ADU is often the most affordable way to add a home.

Are ADUs Allowed on My Lot?
ADU rules are set locally. Each county and city decides whether accessory units are allowed and limits size, setbacks, height, parking and whether the unit can be rented. Some areas only allow guest houses without kitchens. HOAs can add their own restrictions. We check your address against local code before you spend anything on design.
