Water damage spreads quickly in Southwest Florida’s heat and humidity. On Fort Myers Beach, salt water from storm surge does even more harm to drywall, insulation, wiring and wood framing. Miniopolis LLC restores water-damaged homes and businesses on the island. We start with drying and tear-out and finish with a full rebuild.
Water Damage Restoration Services
- Water removal and drying — coordinated with certified mitigation partners to remove standing water and dry the structure.
- Tear-out — removing wet drywall, insulation, flooring and cabinetry so the structure can dry.
- Mold prevention and remediation coordination — through licensed mold assessors and remediators where required.
- Structural repair — replacing damaged framing, sheathing and subfloors.
- Rebuild — new drywall, flood-resistant materials, flooring, kitchens and baths.
Salt Water Is Different
Storm surge leaves salt behind in walls and floors. Salt corrodes fasteners and electrical parts and keeps pulling moisture back in. Materials hit by salt water often need to be removed rather than dried in place. We’ll explain what can be saved and what can’t.
Restore Smarter
Below the flood elevation, we recommend flood-resistant materials like tile, concrete and closed-cell insulation, so the next flood does less damage. If damage is extensive, it may be time to consider an elevated rebuild. See Restore My Fort Myers Beach House.
FAQ
How fast should I start after water damage?
As soon as it’s safe. Mold can start growing within a day or two in Florida’s climate. Call your insurer, document everything, then start drying.
Do you do water damage repair off the island?
Yes. We restore homes across Fort Myers, Cape Coral, Bonita Springs, Naples and Lee County.
