Need a new dock on Fort Myers Beach, or a replacement for one lost in a storm? Miniopolis LLC coordinates dock design and construction on Estero Island and the nearby back-bay canals. The work is done through our licensed marine contractor partners.
Marine construction is performed by licensed marine contractors in the Miniopolis partner network and coordinated by Miniopolis LLC as your general contractor.
Dock Projects We Coordinate
- New residential docks — sized for your boat, your water depth and your lot.
- Dock replacement — removing damaged structures and building new ones with modern materials.
- Dock repairs — decking, framing, piling and hardware replacement.
- Commercial and multi-slip docks — for marinas, restaurants and rental properties.
- Add-ons — boat lifts, kayak launches, lighting, water and power.
Choosing Materials That Last
Salt water, sun and storms are hard on docks. Depending on budget and exposure, options include composite decking, aluminum framing, treated or wrapped pilings and stainless or galvanized hardware. Our partners will recommend what holds up best at your location.
How the Process Works
- Site visit to review water depth, shoreline and access.
- Design and pricing.
- Permits from the town, county and environmental agencies as required.
- Construction, usually from the water by barge.
- Final inspection.
